#SKG Bridges Uprising Art & Culture Festival

Published: 08-10-2018

#SKG Bridges Uprising Art & Culture Festival was introduced in May 2018.

This Cultural Youth Festival, which took place in Thessaloniki, as an initiative of the Social Policies Office of the Prime Minister, was realized through the collaboration of the Cultural Institutions, creative collectives of the city of Thessaloniki and the participation of artists originating from southern European countries, forming new syntheses and activating a variety of well-established as well as a number of artistically unexplored venues throughout the city.

Within this framework, this year’s goal is to encourage the participation of new independent artists and collectives of the European South as well as their collaboration with State Cultural Institutions and the use of public spaces, even the non-conventional parts of the Thessaloniki’s cityscape for each project’s realization. #SKG Bridges Festival remains an open platform, searching for original ideas from young, upcoming artists (musicians, visual artists, actors, photographers, performers, poets, writers, authors etc.)

The 2nd #SKG Bridges Festival will take place between 8-12 May 2019.
