Thessaloniki. Thessaloniki Center of Contemporary Art, Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki and School of Fine Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki proudly announce the opening of the exhibition The Right To Be Human, with an opening reception on the 19th of January 20:00pm at Thessaloniki Center of Contemporary Art, Warehouse B1, Port, Thessaloniki.

The exhibition is co-curated by Professor Thalia Vrachopoulos Art Historian-critic from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York and Professor Harry Savopoulos at the School of Fine Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Art Critic, and takes place at the following venues:

- Thessaloniki Center of Contemporary Art: 19th of January through 28th of February

- OTE windows middle of January through the middle of February

- Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki, 9th of February through 17th of March

The exhibition rebuts, re-examines and rejects inequities and exemplifies the goals of humanism and social justice. Global humanism and social justice share a common goal that seeks to promote both individual and social right of fair access to opportunity and benefit; and, to embrace equality as governing principle in all areas of modern life. In our current era of crisis; wealth inequality, suppression of free speech, governmentally sanctioned discrimination, religious intolerance, political corruption all stand as blockades to the goals of humanism and social justice.

The artists featured in this exhibition come from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds and have been chosen by the curators because their work expresses social justice.
